Emek haTekheliet - The Blue Valley Art Gallery
Emek Tekhelet - the Blue Valley park.
Zefat, the Galilee region, Northern Israel.
It is an exhibition of the natural historical landscapes of the Galilee, within the gorge of Nahal Biriya. It is approximately 560 dunams (130 acres) of land.
Small mountain springs feed orchard, willow, poplar and other trees. Which is collected in ponds. It is a natural, raw, and steep land; Only changed enough the for the safety of visitors.
It's proximity to a city provides a contrast to it's rawness.
I visited the park for inspiration. As usual I found different creativity than what I was looking for. There are many archeological sites and beautiful landscapes. But, it was the undeveloped sections with the least manacured landscape that captured my attention that day.
My images from Emek Tekhelet became 2 near-bichromic images with subtle hues.
1. Yellow and Green.
2. Purple, blue, and pink.
These patterns are available as wall art and printed clothing and other display media.
These patterns, based on natural shapes; isolated, manipulated, then color filtered are truly my most exciting patterns.
